Together we will keep Wendy's star shining bright
Hello Wendy's family and friends,
We are sharing this page with you following Wendy's recent passing as result of complications arising from Leukaemia.
We consider a positive way of reflecting on Wendy's passingĀ would be to support the work of the Leukaemia Foundation. It will help others affected in the future by this awful disease.
A donation in memory of Wendy means her legacy will have a lasting impact for years to come. We know Wendy would have preferred a lasting gift, rather than flowers, which will only brighten our mood for a short time.
Thank you in advance for your generosity. You will be giving an incredible gift of hope.
Love the Game Family ( Howard, Thomas & Stephen)
Thank you for your kind support

My first introduction to Scouting in Berowra was meeting Wendy and chatting about Joeys at the Woodchop climbing wall in 2012. She was warm, energetic, and she was genuinely passionate about the group. I sent an email the same day to put my then-4-year-old on the waiting list. Both of my boys had a fantastic time at Joey's, and spending time with Wendy was always a pleasure throughout the years. I loved how well-organized she was and how she was able to keep everything running smoothly at all times. During group camps, her enthusiasm was contagious. I will remember her as someone who was vibrant, happy, always had a big smile on her face, and was willing to Help Other People (HOP). Wendy is someone I shall miss dearly.

My condolences to you, Wendy was a mentor and friend to all within the SNR Joey mobs. I gained so much from her knowledge, wisdom and kindness. Her legacy will live on through the lessons we learnt by watching her leadership. I will remember her every time I h.o.p. and whenever we gather round a camp fire. With love, Lainie

Wendy was a most amazing lady who taught me so much and always had time for one of my rambling phone calls even when she was at work. Our family will miss her so very much, especially her enthusiasm and her drive to help as many Joeys through the group as possible...

Wishing you love and strength going forward.
Dear Howard, Thomas and Stephen, I have been a Joey Scout leader for about 22 years and Wendy was my regional leader. Because of my job, I have only ever have been able to do the Joey face to face bit and not the extras. Wendy was such a wonderful and understanding Scout leader who was so supportive and encouraging. I only learnt of her passing last night at the Regional campfire event. I was heart broken to hear the news. For a range of reasons I am not able to use the Scout email address and that is why I did not hear. I am so sorry for your loss. But please know that Wendy has left a huge legacy in the scouting movement of Joeys. I hope your sadness and loss is not too terrible to bear and that time is kind and the happiness she brought to us all will be able to replace your loss. My deepest condolences, Cathy Foley North St Ives Joey Leader
