I am sharing this page with you in memory of Lynette Ruxton and her battle with the blood cancer Multiple Myeloma.
The family would like to take the opportunity to request those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Leukaemia Foundation in lieu of flowers. This is to support those affected right now by blood cancers and fund world changing research to help more people survive.
The family wishes to honour her memory by lighting the way for future Australians affected by blood cancer by supporting the work of the Leukaemia Foundation. A future where no lives are lost to blood cancer.

Lyn's Wetherill Park Tafe Family
3 years ago, Lyn walked into Wetherill Park TAFE, seemingly terrified but there was a very warm, helpful, witty, confident lady inside who came to be like a mum to every staff member in the ESOL section of Wetherill Park TAFE. We were blessed to have Lyn who would drop everything she was doing to help with any request, be it a student who could barely speak English, or a staff member. She was extremely patient and tolerant. She'd take the time to respond to the 51st query even though she was ready to go home at the 50th request. We, without a doubt, have lost a beautiful soul from Wetherill Park TAFE. We will miss that smile, that support in keeping the section a second family to all and that kindness in all her actions! But Lyn, we know you are without the pain now and that will comfort the staff while anecdotes of all your witty comments are shared. Rest in peace Lyn.

Children’s Education And Care Çampbelltown Tafe
Lyn as we affectionately called Lynette was the person that the students and teachers went to for help or information, a kind word and a laugh. Lyn was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, always willing to help, say a kind word, even say a prayer. Even though Lyn had moved onto Weatherill Park TAFE to a new section, we still stayed in touch. Any opportunity to go to our favourite Chinese restaurant and have the Honey Pepper Fillet Steak was always met with an enthusiastic YES! Lyn will be very sadly missed by her friends at Çampbelltown.

From all of us at the Westfield’s High School Reunion Committee Members and Friends. We were so sad to hear of Lyn’s passing. Lyn was part of our Westfields High School Reunion group. We all started as foundation members (including Lyn) in 1963 and even though there were approximately 200 plus initial students it was like one big family. Almost all kids new almost everyone - it was just like that. And Lyn was part of it all and School Captain in later years. Almost all of us are now aged 70-72 and we are well aware of the frailty of life as we moved into our formative years but nevertheless Lyn’s passing was a real shock to us all. We know that many of Lyn’s old school friends will remember Lyn with great fondness and her passing as a sober time of reflection and no doubt sadness. May Lyn’s family find great comfort in each other and no doubt many good memories to reflect on at such a difficult and sad time.
