7/3/23 Update: Lauren's hair is also now a fair bit shorter too! Her plaits have also been donated to help make a wig.
14/12/21 Update: My hair is now significantly shorter, my plaits have been donated to make a wig, and you have helped to raise $3825 in Katie's memory. Thank you SO much!! ($629 had already been donated from Katie's memorial.)
5/11/21 In March 2018 Katie had planned on doing a "Shave for a Cure" to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation. Ironically, she was diagnosed with leukaemia a few weeks before she could do that. She was able to donate her plaits, but didn't have time to raise any money.
On 22 November I will be having my plaits chopped off and donated too, and I hope to raise that money for the Leukaemia Foundation which Katie wasn't able to. The Leukaemia Foundation was so vital for us during Katie's illness. They provided much-needed accommodation, enabling us to stay near the hospitals in both Newcastle and Westmead. We are so very grateful for the precious time we were able to have with her during that period.
