We are sharing this page with you as someone we love and care about deeply has been affected by blood cancer.
On Sunday night, 11 January, our beautiful mum, Domenica Mammone, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. She was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and faced the illness with remarkable strength and courage.
Despite undergoing intensive and invasive treatment, the disease proved devastatingly aggressive, and she passed away only a short time after her diagnosis, held by those who loved her most.
While her passing has left us heartbroken, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at rest. We feel incredibly blessed to have had her in our lives, and her loss is felt more deeply than words can express. She will always be loved and forever remembered.
We want to honour our mum's memory by lighting the way for future Australians affected by blood cancer by supporting the work of the Leukaemia Foundation. And we would love a future where no lives are lost to blood cancer.
A donation in memory of our mum means her legacy will have a lasting impact for years to come.
Mum's life will continue to help all Australians with blood cancer access the best treatments, care and support they need to survive, and thrive no matter their background or where they live.
