Together we will keep their star shining bright

Dear family and friends,

In honour of our late mother and beloved wife Vija Vizbulite Herbert  who succumbed to blood cancer (Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), we share this page with you to raise support for a worthy cause.

We want to honour Vija's life by lighting the way for future Australians affected by blood cancer by supporting the work of the Leukaemia Foundation.  We want a future where no lives are lost to blood cancer.

A donation in memory of our beloved Vija Vizbulite Herbert means her legacy will have a lasting impact for years to come.

Your donation will continue to help all Australians, with blood cancer, access the best treatments, care, and support they need to survive, and thrive no matter their background or where they live.  Your donation will help power ground-breaking research meaning fewer families will go through what Vija and her family have endured.

Please help us honour Vija's life by using the 'Donate' button.  The more people who know about the Leukaemia Foundation's work, the greater their impact, so, please spread the word by sharing our page with your friends, family, and colleagues.

Thank you in advance for your generosity. You will be giving an incredible gift of hope.

Thank you for your kind support

Remembering Mum Vijainja Dew by Raimonds Pauls With eyes closed , where the dew lies in the grass As the tears just seem to be swept away There the weeds always grow strong and sharp Because where there is happiness, there can also be misery I will go forward with my eyes closed Where the weeds will painfully sting your legs With my feet on the ground, I will strike them in the dust Until they stubbornly raise their heads again I will see only what my heart sees And I will only know what my heart knows When the sun comes and burns the dew in the morning I know my knight is celebrating victory... I stand at the dawn door and wait When they will open and invite me Then the dew will wash away the hatred from my feet And the wind will slowly close my eyes
