Round for Reece started August 2021 and continues…..
This day was organised by Gaza Football Club community to remember Reece and the brave and positive young man he was and also to raise awareness and funds to assist in the fight to find a cure for this horrendous disease. The kind generosity of sponsors and everyone who purchased merchandise helped raise this large amount which in turn created this tribute page to never forget Reece who made a huge impact on everyone he knew. We love and miss you Reece 💙💛.Together we will keep Reece’s star shining bright.
Hello friends & family,
I am are sharing this page with you as someone I love and care about deeply has been affected by blood cancer.
Reece was a fit and healthy 22 year old when in October 2018 he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). He was a larger than life awesome lad a great club man who played junior and senior footy at Gaza.

I want to honour my son’s memory by lighting the way for future Australians affected by blood cancer by supporting the work of the Leukaemia Foundation. And I want a future where no lives are lost to blood cancer.
A donation in memory of our loved one means their legacy will have a lasting impact for years to come.
Their life will continue to help all Australians with blood cancer access the best treatments, care and support they need to survive, and thrive no matter their background or where they live. Their legacy will power ground-breaking research meaning fewer families will be going through what we are in the future.

A kind family stopped asked about our yellow lantern we replied it’s Light the Night raising funds for Leukemia research, we shared our story , we lost our son Reece aged 22, they felt our pain as they to have a 20 yr old son and could not imagine a life without him. They hugged us and kindly donated , strangers reaching out. We miss you Reece every minute every hour all the time.

We came together this day remembering Reece who is missed by all who knew him and he would have been very humble seeing his family, friends and mates coming together and would have a great laugh of support for those mates donning the boots again for the day.
