Wendy's Journey
Wendy was a strong willed and open minded individual. She never stopped being independent and wanting to share special moments with her loved ones until the very end. She first learnt she had blood cancer 20 years ago and was told she would live for around 15 years. Overcoming liver cancer 2 years ago she then developed AML 6 months ago and opted for voluntary end of life. Her family are deeply grateful for the love and support received by the local palliative care team and VAD team. Thank you again to everyone who contributed as Wendy appreciated the information and support that the leukemia foundation provided her over the years and the money will help others like Wendy.Together we will keep their star shining bright
Dear friends & family,
This page has been created to honour the memory of Wendy.
She fought a long battle with blood cancer that lasted 20 years. This developed into AML 6 months. Wendy spoke highly of the support group and the information provided by the Leukaemia Foundation.
If you like to support future research and please make a donation in memory of our beautiful Wendy
Their life will continue to help all Australians with blood cancer access the best treatments, care and support they need to survive, and thrive no matter their background or where they live. Their legacy will power ground-breaking research meaning fewer families will be going through what we are in the future.
Please help me honour their legacy by using the 'Donate' button. The more people who know about the Leukaemia Foundation's work, the greater their impact, so please spread the word by sharing my page with your friends, family and colleagues.
Thank you in advance for your generosity. You will be giving an incredible gift of hope.
